I know I'm up pretty late, but I can't get to sleep just yet. You know how you get a burst of energy after a workout? Yeah. So now I'd like to rave about my recent discovery of the perfect eyeliner. Maybelline's Great Wear waterproof and smudgeproof eyeliner is really what it's name indicates, great wear. It glides on so smoothly, and does not smudge throughout the day! Even after my workout, it stayed put. I bought them in a variety of colors: onyx, dark chocolate, deep plum, jade. After I first tried this eyeliner, I stocked up on some more. I got them at the 99cent store. I know, you're thinking You use makeup from the 99cent store?! But not to worry, they still work wonders. Plus can't beat the price when they're regularly $6!

Haven't been thrifting in what seems like ages! =P So I headed to my usual shop, Thrift Town, today to do some hunting. And I found some great stuff!

I absolutely love this retro/vintage swimsuit by Sirena! The padding made my breasts look abnormal, so I ripped them out. Now it's perfection! Bought for $3.99.

I've been searching eBay for boots like these. Good thing I held off, cuz I bought these for $4.99.

I like this straw clutch wallet, but not exactly sure when I'd use it. But at 69cents, I just bought it anyway. haha

While browsing Style Bubble, I discovered some beautiful jewelry by a designer by the name of Maria Lau. One of the peices, however, especially caught my eye because of it's simplicity to recreate -- a jersey knit wrapped pearl necklace! Sew some tubes of jersey knit big enough to cover the pearls, but tight enough to show off their curvature. String the pearls, then encase them with the tubes. Finish of the closure, and you're complete!

I was about to purchase this knotted headwrap at Urban Outfitters, but I stopped myself thinking I could make it myself. I have a love for headbands/headscarves/headwraps! Sew a tube of fabric a little longer than the circumference of your skull, tie a knot in the middle, iron down to crease the sides, and then sew the ends together. Viola! =P

Is it possible to fall in love with an online boutique? I can't get enough out of RevolveClothing! Everything in this store makes me salivate. However, most everything they sell is expensive. I've made a purchase once, and I have to say that that was the fastest anything bought online has arrived on my doorstep. Free 2-3 day priority shipping and free return shipping! That's my type of shipping! haha!

I have never been a real fan of Gwen Stefani's line of handbags Harajuku Lovers because I'm obsessed with Tokidoki. But for some odd reason, I found myself buying one, "First Class" style bag in the Carousel print. o.0 Why? I don't know. I don't need one. It's cute, but I'm not in love with it. The only use I'd put into it would be to carry my textbooks. Hmm, so I don't know whether I should keep it. What do you think?

While trying to locate Steve & Barry's in California, I noticed that they'll be opening stores in Northern California... finally! SF, Hayward, and Newark stores opening in 2007! w00t! =D I just hope they're here in time for Sarah Jessica Parker's Bitten collection for fall cuz I really need some coats.

If the stores don't open by August 7th, would anyone (who has a Steve & Barry's accessible to them) be so kind as to help me purchase and mail them to me? You will be reimbursed of course. =)

A couple days ago I found this Jonathan Martin silk dress. It looked so gorgeous on the hanger, I just had to try it on. The top part is a silky silk, and the bottom is a sheer gauzy silk (with a stretchy silk lining). I like it, but I'm not sure if I should wear it to Simon (Ken's brother) and Minnie's wedding in September. What do you think?

Usually when I shop at Ross, I don't expect to see any sandals slightly dressier than flip flops. I'm not referring to dress sandals. But sandals that are casual without the over-casual tacky flip flops. However, I was in luck while on my last trip to Ross. I thought to myself, "Forget the Havaianas, they're hopeless (to find). I'll get these instead!" The best part?... only $7.99!

I've been on a frantic search trying to find a certain pair of sandals online that I saw someone from Wardrobe Remix wearing. Ebay doesn't have the color (black) I want in my size. All other stores on the internet are from another country, which I prefer not to buy from. ACCCKKK! Please let me know if you know where I can buy these Havaianas Flash Urban sandals (size 8/9 or 39/40) -- in store or online! I love them so much!

My second choice, if all else fails but which I don't love as much as Flash Urban, is the Havaianas Flash Way.

SwapSF is a project that orginizes all sorts of swaps in the city, such as clothing swaps (men only, women only, co-ed) and book swaps. At the door, you hand over your items, and then you're free to pick out annnyyything you want out of the whole stash contributed by everyone. Free music and refreshments are usually offered with the price of admission. I have yet to go to one, but they seem awesome! All the fun of the Flickr SwapShop group, but made even better by the atmosphere and browsing the items first-hand rather than just pictures on the internet! (And no paying for shipping!) Plus, all leftovers go to charities, so it's a win-win! For more information, go to the website, or go directly to their FAQs page.

Eeek! It arrived today! I've been checking the mail like crazy the past several days waiting for this gorgeous dress. I swapped my green hobo bag for it with Arsenal Nothing. Once I opened it, I tried it on... and I haven't taken it off yet. hahaha! The material's so lightweight, so it won't be suffocating in warm/hot weather. I love it, I love it, I love it!!! =D She was really sweet, too, and included some green tea caramels, some cute sheets of notepad paper, and some stickers. teehee!

Shorts Emergency

I've been in a desperate need for new shorts! The only two shorts I owned were too big for me now. They were also pretty short. Since I'm getting older now, I decided I should start wearing shorts with a longer length. Not as long as a bermuda length however; They make me look stumpy.

I also decided that I need a variety of different shorts: denim, black, and a print (most likely a plaid). I stay away from white bottoms because I feel exposed in them. Most white bottoms seem pretty sheer to me. I also stay away from khaki bottoms, just because I feel they don't suit me.

So I kept my eye out, and most of the ones I was attracted to were ones with cuffs. I believe cuffed shorts are the trend now, as I have been spotting them all over the place. So far, I've purchased two pairs of shorts.

Patrick Robinson for Target denim shorts - dark wash, $24.50

I love the length, and I love all the details! There are zipper pockets in the front and in the back. There's a short knit elastic band in the back of the waistband. I also like that it's not a low waist. And it fits my tush nicely!

Express "short short" - Hampton Blue color, $3.66!!!! (originally $24.50)

They were 25% off, plus I had a $15off coupon! I know these aren't exactly a much longer style, but they're still longer than my old shorts. For the price, I'm not complaining! I love it's wide waistband and cute pleats. I would have wanted these in black though. However, for the $24.50 original price, there were none.

I'm still on the hunt for black shorts and a printed pair. Express had some Editor style black shorts in the clearance racks for $14.99, but, unfortunately, none in my size. Maybe I'll try another Express store.

Opening Up Shop on Etsy

I'm considering opening up a shop on Etsy.com. Etsy is a website designed so that crafters can sell their handmade items online. But of course there are fees. It's 20cents to post each item. Then there's a 3.5% fee of your total earnings, not including shipping. I would say that's pretty fair. =)

However, I'm having trouble figuring out what to name my shop. =/ Little help? I'll be selling mostly accessories (ex. earrings, necklaces, pendants, belts, pins) made with mediums such as polymer clay, metal findings, beads, fabrics, charms, etc. I'm contemplating whether or not to make coasters and decorated shoes also.

I'm just waiting for my last final tomorrow to be over with so that I can spend the summer crafting like a mad-lady! mwahahahaha!

Tokidoki for Lesportsac Summer '07 Prints

I'm kinda late in posting this, but oh well. Considering I'm a huge fan of Tokidoki, I don't keep as up-to-date as I'd like to. =P These are the latest prints for this Summer's line of Tokidoki for Lesportsac bags: Amore (which is mostly sold out by now) and Spiaggia (which is still available online).

Lately I've been browsing through a group on Flickr called Wardrobe Remix. It's a group where people photograph themselves wearing the creative outfits that they put together from their wardrobes. So many of these outfits are so inspiring! I love how these people mix things up. I joined the group a few months ago, but have only managed to post two outfits to the group. My Grandma usually hates the clothes I wear, so she hands me tons of clothes, mostly vintage, she'd like to see me in. A quarter of the time, I receive stuff I'd actually wear, like these.

Motivational Swimsuit

Crochet swimsuits are yum, too! I took a leap and bought a two piece [that's not a tankini]! It's flattering, but I still need some more working out to do. The hard part is jumping back on the horse. =P (Looks better in real life than in the picture.)

Target's latest Go:International designer's Patrick Robinson. I love his Grecian/Bohemian-feel collection, especially all the medallion print pieces. At the Target I shopped at today, I had wanted to try on the medallion print one piece, but they only had extra-small and extra-large available. =( Hopefully the next Target I go to will have my size in stock so that I can see how it fits on me.
EDIT (05.10.07) Went to another Target today. Tried it, fit it, looked good in it, bought it! w00t! hahaha!

The days are getting warmer, which means it's time to bask in the sunlight... and dip into the water! It's time to get out the swimsuits! Or if you're like me, time to be on the hunt for a new one for this year.

Since I have unwanted bodily protrusions, namely my belly, I usually go for styles with more coverage, such as one pieces and tankinis. (Maybe one day I'll be able to strut a bikini. <-- Wishful thinking.) However, as cute as tube top one pieces can be, I try to steer clear of them. The last swimsuit I purchased was a tube top one piece, and it was a big mistake. Whenever I wore it, I kept having to pull it up after it had fallen too low on my chest. What an annoyance! So here are my picks for swim attire.

Though I generally tend not to spend an extravagant price on anything, I often accumulate many good priced things which add up extravagantly. haha! I rarely pay full price for anything.

On occasion I do find myself splurging, but it has to be something I'm dying to have. For instance, Tokidoki created by the creative Italian artist, Simone Legno; I have such a weak spot for Tokidoki (hence the layout)! My latest splurge?... This Tokidoki hoodie, which cost me a total of $102.32. =P I didn't want to shell out money for it at the time because I was somewhat low on funds. But I knew if I didn't get it then that it'd be sold out with the quickness. Good thing I did get it when I did; Metropark's stock of Tokidoki hoodies was gone within two days.

Besides this hoodie, my Tokidoki collection consists of two Tokidoki for LeSportsac purses (Dolce - Summer '06 print & Gioco - Citta print), a Tokidoki for LeSportsac duffle (Luna - Citta print), and a Tokidoki for LeSportsac wallet (Denaro - Summer '06 print).

Tokidoki has also collaborated with Fornarina by making shoes -- heels and sneakers. In the near future, Tokidoki will be releasing items collaborated with Hello Kitty, which I'm also a big fan of! I'm so excited!
